ventravis was founded by two experienced visceral surgeons (abdominal surgeons), whose training complements each other perfectly, and so cover the majority of even highly specialised visceral surgery to a high standard. Both have been able to enhance their academic interest in this specialism at the University of Basel and Zurich.

Every patient is different. Therefore, the treatment starts with the first conversation. The understanding of the disease and the subsequent treatment should be the basis for trust and motivation. We are convinced that meeting on a level playing field and good communication have a positive influence on the healing process.

We maintain interdisciplinary collaboration. Knowledge sharing not only benefits the patient, but also keeps us up to date with the latest developments in science. Due to our academic background, we plan regular further training events for laymen and specialised audiences.
